Pronouns: She/her/hers
Hi, I’m Sophie! Operations and Client Experience Coordinator here at TCC! I’m one of the friendly faces (and inboxes) behind The Cognitive Corner. In my role, I support our team and clients by keeping things running smoothly, from scheduling and
answering questions to creating calm, welcoming experiences for everyone — making each interaction approachable, reassuring, and human.
With a background in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies, I’m deeply passionate about mental health care that is inclusive, accessible and intersectional — the kind that honours
people’s full experiences and creates a space for everyone to feel safe, supported, and understood.
I was drawn to The Cognitive Corner because it’s one of those rare places where professionalism and humanity coexist beautifully. The team’s commitment to equity-driven care and authentic connection reflects my own values and continues to inspire how I show up in my role every day.
On a more personal note, I’m a stereotypical Taurus who loves cozy nights on the couch, binge-watching the newest Netflix mini-series, and cooking up something delicious to indulge in. I spend way too much time on my skincare routine, especially when it comes to a good face mask. I also have a not-so-secret obsession with orca whales and know far too many fun facts
about them!
After graduating university, I wanted to lay my roots somewhere I could gain hands-on experience in mental health and learn the ins and outs of a psychology practice. I knew this foundation would be invaluable as I work toward a Master’s degree in social work or counselling psychology and one day become a therapist. I feel so grateful to be part of such a warm, thoughtful, and community-centered practice, and I’m excited to keep growing here as I continue my journey in mental health care.
